Biocide 25

A biodegradable and environmentally acceptable broad-spectrum biocide that effectively controls bacteria, fungi, and algae in drilling fluids. Biocide 25 prevents microbial contamination, reduces slime formation, and protects polymers from bacterial degradation.

APPLICATIONS

Biocide 25 is designed for water-based drilling fluids to control microbial contamination, protect polymers, and prevent slime formation caused by microorganisms. It is effective against both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria and works in a wide range of water chemistries.

Protects bacterial degradation in products such as Carry Flow and Clay Control

SPECIFICATIONS
Physical Appearance: yellow to brown liquid
Solubility: Fully soluble in water

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
Initial treatment: Add 2–5 L/1000L fluid directly to the flow line.

Maintenance treatment: Drip-feed Biocide 25 into the system to control microbial growth.

Monitor bacterial activity and adjust dosage as necessary for optimal performance and protection of the drilling fluid system.

Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions described in the Saftey Data Sheet (SDS).

PACKAGING AND STORAGE
Biocide 25 is in 20L pails.
Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletising, banding, shrink-wrapping and stacking.
