Carry Foam

Generates stable bubbles that lift cuttings efficiently, improve hole cleaning, and minimise water usage.

APPLICATIONS

Carry Foam is a foaming agent used in air drilling applications. It produces stable foam with small, tight bubbles that efficiently carry cuttings. The foam is consistent in fresh, brackish, and salty waters. Carry Foam works at low concentrations to improve hole cleaning, enhance penetration rates, and reduce air volume requirements.

It works with Swell Stop to create stiff foam, reducing air requirements and increasing hole cleaning efficiency.

  • Used in air drilling operations

  • Effective for dust suppression, mist, foam, and stiff-foam drilling

  • It provides lubrication when used with downhole hammers

  • Helps stabilise holes in large-diameter and friable formations

SPECIFICATIONS
Physical Appearance: yellowish liquid

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
Typical concentrations range from 1L to 2L/m3 for HDD, waterwell and diamond coring applications. Typical concentrations in severe conditions could range from 11L to 17L/m (4 to 6 lb/bbl). Add directly to the tank. Higher concentrations may cause foaming, which can be controlled with a defoamer.

TOXICITY AND HANDLING
Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions described in the Saftey Data Sheet (SDS).

PACKAGING AND STORAGE
Carry Foam is in 20L pails and 208L drums

Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletising, banding, shrink-wrapping and stacking.
